Welcome!

I’m Lenée (she/ her). I’m a grief and death doula, usui reiki master, cultural worker and public speaker/ facilitator. I come from Lenapehoking, also known as Philadelphia, the land of Tastykakes and Gritty.

I’m a xennial lover of Black cultural production. That includes music, fashion, language, poetry, film, and everything in between. I have been on the internet since 1997, which shapes my approach to everything I do. My journey through life has brought me a lot of experiences as wisdom; my favorite way to move through the world is to learn and discuss people, concepts, and cultural moments.

I’ve been published at Complex, ColorBloq.org, and SKEW Magazine, as well as maintaining different blog spaces throughout the 2000s. In other media making, I co-hosted and co-produced Hip Hop is 4 Lovers (2011-2014) with my best friend and favorite creative partner, where we discussed love, sex, dating, intimacy, and all kinds of relationships through the lens of and in the context of hip hop culture. Since 2010, I have been a guest speaker at colleges and universities, led a variety of workshops, and recently dipped my toes into panel moderation at the 2023 BlackStar Film Festival.

My biggest and most beautiful accomplishment to date, however, has been the creation and maintenance of the #AnonymousCrowdfund, a fundraising/ mutual aid project born of a need I saw in my digital and physical communities. From 2019 to 2021, I raised over $40,000 for 30 individuals and families affected by under/ unemployment, intimate partner violence, chronic/ severe illness, and covid-19 related economic impact.

It’s my honor and pleasure to serve any and everyone I can, with dignity and respect for their needs.

You can read my resume here. If you’re interested in working with me, please drop me a line!

In community and care,

Lenée
